FH's perspective...

How involved is your FH, and what is he most excited about regarding the wedding?

FH is groomzilla...very annoying most of the time but it is also good to have his input and have him deal with things that I just dont want to

Re: FH's perspective...

its funny bc recently i showed him a card box and we picked one out that we liked. Then his mom told me the other day how he showed it to her, i was like awww ok. Then the other day hes like ok what was that site again for the card box, and i was like WOW youre really into the card box huh? and he said of course its where the money will be

hes into other parts too and then other things hes not...just like me he was into it in the beginning. We both became unmotivated and now we are back in it lol.

Also at the moment hes focusing on the tuxes, he has an idea and was looking up info for it.

FH has done everything except things that involve my attire (I'm insane and superstitious). He loves it, except when my mother drives him (and I) insane.

Sometimes I think I am talking to a wall, but then he will update his aunt or mother on what we have done so far. He has definitely recently surprised me with his enthusiasm, and it is very cute! He definitely keeps me on keel with our spending....but he has definitely lately been more involved.

How involved is your mom? Mine has complete control (my parents are paying for most of the wedding).

We are paying for it all except my dress, honeymoon and favors...so just with that she feels the need to have a say with EVERYTHING. she wants to know everything i order, when i'm looking up things online, when i speak anything wedding!!! I cant stand it. I told her I was picking up a swatch of my dress sat morning and she demanded she come with me. And this is her being alot better, she was worse in the beginning. we would go days without talking to eachother FH doesnt understand why she needs to know every little detail. Mind you she NEVER likes anything I pick out. I ended up just ignoring her and she eventually gives in..
I know i'm her only daughter and she'll only get to do this once, but its just such a hassle...

It's like you're living my life in another body!

I understand my parents are paying, but my mom shoots down all of my ideas. I mean, can I have a say in my own wedding? Please?

exactly..last night i had dinner with her and i was telling her all these ideas I wanted to maybe incorporate and she sat there with this look on her face like WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING?! its like she doesnt understand, things have changed since she got married, people arent so traditional anymore and shes not the one getting married! Grrrrrr
the only way that she accepts my ideas and opinions is if someone else agrees with me. Or someone else tells her that 'this is the NEW thing' everyone is doing it' or 'thats what i did for my wedding, and it was great' that kinda thing..my mom is like another mother to one of my BMs so i just tell my BM what to tell my mom and what I like and my mom agrees with her lol so annoying

Re: FH's perspective...

Most things he's like 'find things you like, then show them to me if you feel like it' haha....but he's all about trying to think of special touches, he planned the whole honeymoon, he dealt with the negotiations and contract for the Band, we looked at a bunch of cakes together....and he will choose the tuxes....but he still wants my opinion. He has lots of opinions on favors too.....and the RD, but that his parents are doing so I'm giving him carte blanche with it

Re: FH's perspective...

FH is very involved. He has been to every vendor and he even did the invitations. He is probably most excited about the food, but I don't really know for sure
