Are any of you getting the inside of your FH's wedding band engraved?
I'm torn between:
'I will always love you' and 'The one I live for' or when we first started dating he always used to say to me 'Shut up and kiss me' so I thought that might be cute...
What do you girls think? How many characters can they even fit inside a ring?

I think shut up and kiss me is cute to engrave because it is something special for the two of you. I think that it is more personal that way... But thats JMO....

We havent decided yet either but were discusssing it and the deciding factor we agreed will be something that when we are very old and look at the engravement, the words will really mean something. also, THIS IS GOING TO SOUND SO MORBID SO IM SORRY IN ADVANCE...but my Grandfather passed away this December and when reading the inscriptions that him and my Grandmother had on his jewlery, the ones that meant most to me were something which included their names or initials.

Yes, I am suprising FH with an engraving but I still haven't decided what it will say. I agree with the other girls, shut up and kiss me sounds so cute!

I also like the shut up and kiss me idea. very personal and private.
I want us to engrave our rings and still trying to come up with our private thing. we have this silly thing we ask and answer each other, but thats a bit too long. hmmm..... need to discuss (=annoy) with FH some more on the subject

Sorry to crash but i think your ideas are adorable...especially shut up and kiss me. I think it is more meaningful when it is something special between you two. When i was sick in the hospital and doctors had no idea what was wrong with me, i told dh who was fh at the time, if this is too much for you to handle i wont blame you for walking away. And he said his phrase that he always says to me 'whatever it takes.' He always told me he will do whatever it takes in his power to do what's best for us to make us succeed as a married couple. So i surprised him by having his ring engraved with 'whatever it takes and 6-28-08' I showed it to him in the rolls royce right after our ceremony on our way to our reception. He loved it

I think I will definitely go with 'shut up and kiss me' It's personal and makes me smile whenever I think of him saying it. I think he'll definitely like it too!

That is VERY sweet. I guess meaningful is always the best way to go!!

I asked FH if he wanted to get our wedding bands engraved for the wedding and he wants to do it later on; maybe our anniversary. So I guess I'll have it engraved then. I dunno, I would prefer to get it engraved for the wedding; maybe I'll engrave his and he can engrave my eternity band on our 1 year anniversary.
'Shut up and kiss me' is very cute. But for me, I would use 'The one I live for.'

We are doing the jewis prayer 'I am my beloved' but we cannot get it engraved till after the wedding or it is not a whole band.

We got our wedding bands already and FH did get it engraved with 'BFF 1-16-10' because we were always best friends before anything else, and we had a joke about 'BFF.'
I love the 'shut up and kiss me' idea. I think doing something personal makes it more special.

I'm going to have 'So You Wanna 6/5/10' engraved in his. That was his way of proposing. Instead of 'will you marry me,' I got 'so you wanna?'

I did get my FH's ring engraved.. It reads 'All my love' & the date. I thought that was cute..I wasnt sure what to get & the jewler helped me. You also have to make sure that all the words will fit.
