FH's surgery ***UPDATED again***5/31

After months of waiting and getting a new surgeon (thank god) he is finally getting the surgery done tomorrow.

I have to say as crazy and irritating as it was to go through what the other surgeon was putting him through and basically waiting since February to have this done,it was a relief though to not getting it done, but now tomorrow morning he'll be having his jaw and top pallete(sp) broken and then pushed back from what I understand.

He'll be in pain for a couple of weeks bruised and swollen my poor FH, I hope the painkillers help as much as possible.

I know I have asked you all to pray a lot the past couple of months for FH and my mom and I'm asking you girls again to please pray for my FH tomorrow. I will try to come on later on tomorrow with an update.

Update-
FH had the surgery this morning, FFIL had gone with him. it started at 830 and was done by 11am. He didnt get back from the hospital until 4pm. FMIL had picked me up from the LIRR station at 220 and we were waiting to hear back from FFIL. We were so nervous. Basically he was experiencing so much pain they wouldnt discharge him from the hospital. Somehow during the surgery his left cornea got scratched too so his eye was sore as well.
Hes not too swollen or bruised yet, but thats going to happen over the next few days. Hes still in a lot of pain,hes on vicodin, but its not helping as much as he hoped it would. Just glad that its over and done with and I hope over the next couple of weeks he heals quickly.

Update 5/31-
FH is still in pain and the swelling is starting to increase, but hes a trooper hes following everything the surgeon said to do.

to both you and FH. I hope he heals quickly. I've had viccadin after surgery before, it should keep him pretty numb to the pain- and to a lot of anything else going on- that's how I was.
