My dress is diamond white with a champagne sash - we picked out the tux nad he's in a platinum (very, very pale silver) tie and vest. I'm having second thoughts and thinking he should be in white tie/vest, but then it may not match my dress. Thoughts?
I think this is to each their own. I'm in ivory.... FH shirt, tie and vest will be ivory. Groomsmen are ivory with silver vest. Dad will be ivory with charcoal vest.

you could bring a swatchof your dress w/ you and then try to match the diamond white to a vest and tie....

this isn't answering your question...but do you have a pic of your dress? I am considering having some 'color' on my dress..and yours sounds pretty

I am going for my first fitting tonight and will hopefully have pics then.
I think i will get a swatch b/c the ivory may not match.
