FH's Tux

FH's Tux

I told FH that he has to wear an ivory shirt with his tux, since I have an ivory dress. He completely disagrees. Won't white make my dress look yellow?

Yes, I would definitely have him wear ivory.

I have seen in many pics, a white shirt with ivory tie and vest. Some people say that the ivory shirt looks kind of dingy. I am wearing ivory and FH is wearing a white shirt with an ivory tie and vest. Maybe when you go to order the tuxes the salesperson can show you what each looks like! GL!

I really don't think it matters. My dress is ivory, FH is wearing a white shirt w/black vest and bow tie.

It doesnt really matter either way-but if you are worried look at it this way...is your dress Ivory to the point where it is almost yellor or Ivory as in just off white...if its on the yellow side then maybe I would do the ivory shirt-if not stick with white

The groom is suppose to match the bride (usually)....so in your case he would have to wear ivory not white...I agree that it will clash.

I agree with this. Ask to see the ivory shirts at the tux place - sometimes they are very yellowish and may not look good with your dress (making him look dingy), so just see. You can always do a white shirt with ivory vest/tie.
