ok so we blew the budget on my ring b/c he won't wear his often. He works with his hands and he never even wore his first wedding band (he was married once before). I am fine with it but I have a dilema...
Silver? I heard titanium is good. We want something 'different' for him.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: FH's wedding band
My FH is getting a tungsten band. They're very inexpensive (the one he wants is like $65) and they're virtually indestructible.

Re: FH's wedding band
i'd go with titanium. it won't scratch or bend. the only downside to titanium and tungsten is that they can't be resized.
i got FH's titanium band from Ultra Diamonds in Deer Park Tanger for $67. (on sale). Def. go take a look!

Yea, the woman at Ultra Diamonds told me it could not be scratched, bent, chipped, nothing like that. They are very heavy though (which may be uncomfortable if not used to wearing rings). I think that' the only downside.
Who knows what FH will choose

Re: FH's wedding band
is it just a color difference between tungsten and titanium? titanium seems to be a little more expensive but has the same properties.
is tungsten darker in color?

Re: FH's wedding band
Tungsten and titanium are different metals. With tungsten, it's virtually indestructible, but CAN be removed from FH's finger in the event of an emergency using metal cutters.
Titanium CANNOT be cut at all.

Re: FH's wedding band
This post came just in time. I am literally on the phone right now (on hold - ugh!!) with Zales. We did a search online for rings and he saw one he likes there. (he doesn´t really like rings!!) The issue is its Titanium and my sister told me that its indestructible and that if his finger ever gets jammed or anything they would have to cut his finger off because they couldn´t cut the ring!
For those of you who bought Titanium is this true?

ETA: You much better than the zales people that´s for sure!! just as i posted they picked up and I asked them because I was going to see if they offer the samering in tungsten. She didn´t know crap and now I´m on hold again!! (Two people who do not know anything!!)

Re: FH's wedding band
As i see this all the time, everything does get scratched. It all of those prolly will but its just harder to do it. It does suck that you cant size either one, but they are all so cheap that you can just get a new one if u had to.
