OK. He has been a manager at a restaurant for over a year now and still gets assigned to closing every FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY nights. When he gets in its like 2:30am. He'll want to sleep till 11:00am and then has to get up and do it all over again at 4pm to close. This is so unfair

Maybe he can ask to have atleast one day off from the weekend to himself. Atleast not to close you know, he has been there a year and I see your point, its not fair.

Alicia - I feel your pain!! FH is a paramedic and works a LOT of overnights! He has been at work since 2:30 this afternoon, will come home at 7:30 tomorrow morning - go back to work at 12:30 pm - get home at 10:30 - and then got to work Sunday afternoon and come home Monday morning - and then go back overnight on Monday. I'm exhausted just writing it!

I soooooo feel your pain! FH is in the restaurant business also, only when he closes, he gets home at 4:30 am and then sleeps the day away. I used to not let it bother me, but it's really getting to me. I feel like a single mom allll over again. And what kind of schedule is this for possibly someday having another child???

That is a very unfair work schedule.
It think he should ask to make some adjustments.

Not alone at all! My DH's schedule SUCKS big time.
He is on rotating shifts and works days, weekends, 4-midnight and midnight-8am. I always have to consult my planner before planning anything. I can't make it to the LIW NW GTG on Long Island because he is working & I don't drive!

You are definately not alone. My hubby has rotating days off. He works four days 6am-2pm, then he gets 2 days off, the works 4 nights 3pm-11pm, then it rotates back again. There are some nights I cook for myself or eat out with friends and famly. It stinks, but pays the bills!!!
