I love my FI to death (obviously). He always does the nicest things. Usually has a few nice surpises during the year. He calls me today at work and asks me to take one of my last vacation days on a specific day. He won't tell me why. Then tonight he says he has something to tell me and made me promise not to get mad. He hands me tickets to the Christmas show. I was happily surprised at first but then though, hey we really could have used the extra money for our extra expensive wedding. He is so worried that I'm mad. I'm not really mad but I just would have felt beetter if he would have discussed it with me first.

Re: FI spent $300 on Tickets
Understandable, but he was doing s/t sweet. Try not to get too upset about it. I know the feeling though, like when FI spent $4oo @ the dentist on tooth whitener!!!!

what is it with guys and teeth whitening. I paid for my FI's as his engagement present. It's what he wanted. Weird!!!

I totally understand where you are coming from, but that was super sweet! It ***** b/c with planning the wedding, every little splurge makes you feel guilty - but knowing that he surprised you and was so thoughtful will make this night extra special for the two of you. ENJOY IT!

AAWWWHHH. That was sweet of him. Just enjoy it. I think it's a hard adjustment to have to justify spending money. He spent it for the two of you. It's not like he went out and spent money on a car radio or something like that. Then I would be mad, I understand what you are thinking, but it makes him happy to surprise you. My FH is just like yours. It's frustrating and sweet all at the same time.
