Fiance wants my Hair Down for Wedding

Fiance is the type of guy who ALWAYS wants my hair down. He'll yank out my hair tie with the annoying tie mark in it.

anyways, he is adamant about wanting me to have my hair down for the wedding.

Do you think I should please him on wedding day???

I wanted my hair up and FH wanted it down.

I am compremising with an 1/2up and 1/2 down.

How do you feel about having your hair down on your wedding day? If you're not totally opposed to it, I think it would be nice for you to make him happy. You have to feel comfortable and pretty and like the way you look (especially in your pictures). If you will feel comfortable and pretty with your hair down and your fiance wants it that way - then go for it!

I actually think I look better with my hair down.

However, this is my wedding day. I love that elegant updo hair look

Do what YOU like and feel most beautiful in. My DH likes mine down but I wore it up because of how I felt and what I wanted and I'm glad I did!

that's the way I'm going... and that's a good compromise. I want to look my best... and I want the man I'm marrying to think I look the best on our wedding day. He's the one that's going to have to look at me all day! That's why I didn't book my first 2 make up artists... because my FH said I looked like a clown! lol.

I am a big believer in not drastically changing your look for the wedding day. I want to go for a more dressed up, more glamorous version of what I normally look like... so since I NEVER wear my hair completely up, I won't on our wedding day either.

Maybe get a couple of hair trials and let him in on the decision and agree on one together? He may end up liking an updo!

I think you should wear it however YOU want. However you feel most comfortable. I don't think you should have to please him by doing what he wants, he shouldn't even ask you to wear your hair this way or that way, you should be able to make that choice on your own. I don't mean to sound harsh but what's the difference he should love you no matter how your hair is. Your personality should ocme into play on how you look that day and you should only listen to that inner voice in your heart.

then you should have that elegant updo hair look.

my FH has no preference that i am aware of...but he would never tell me how to wear my hair for my wedding...now, whether or not i should wear earrings, he has an opinion on.

My FH wanted the same thing, he likes it when I wear my hair down but when I dress up I like to put it up. I simply explained to him that it's going to be hot in June and that I'd be much more comfortable with taking pics and dancing, etc if my hair was up.

I understand you wanting to take his preferences into consideration but in the end you have to decide what will make you happier; having your hair the way you like it or leaving it down for him.

Our FHs have it so easy when it comes to wedding attire. They wear plastic shoes and barely go for 1 fitting for the tux. With all that we have to do to look good for them, we should have the choice of how our hair will be. Do whatever YOU want and whatever will make you the most comfortable.

Not!
He'd love me to have my hair down and no make-up. So...I'm probably going to try half-up, half-down hairstyles. Since our wedding is in January, I don't have to worry about it being too hot.
That being said, I know he won't really care how my hair looks one way or the other - he just wants me to be a happy bride!

most men like hair down...I think no matter what you wear (up or down) he'll love it anyway.

Well my FH wants me to wear my hair up and I always wear it down and I see no reason to wear it up just because its my wedding day. I feel more comfortable with it down and it looks better down so I'm wearing it down. Just do whatever makes you happy.Maybe you should do a hair trial with an up do and a down do and half up and half down and see which one you both like better.

COMPLETELY 100% agree with this. I am leaving my hair down because I think I look better and FH likes it down. I'm dressing it up by having an elegant comb and veil and curling it. I know most people like updos, but they're just too 'stuffy' for me, I like soft touchable hair.

i am back and forth with mine...I dont really like the way i look with it up...prefer it down however...i dont think my hair can last all day with it all down and I am having a June wedding which means I will be very hot behind my neck and I dont want to worry about hair going all over the place

you know your hair better than anyone...go with what you love and will best suit your needs...also take into consideration how you are wearing your veil as well....so many options

i can't decide either
