I am posting for my sister, she is on numerous parenting and pregnancy websites, but I thought I would run this by all of you helpful LIweddings ladies. My sister had a miscarriage last February 2002, and has been trying to get pregnant since a few months after the miscarriage, she has been to numerous doctors and finally found a specialist she likes. However, they tried the clomid route and no success- she had the dye test done last week, and the doctor told her she has fibroids pressing against her uterus, and a technician told her she also had an erosion. Does anypne know what this means- she is getting nuts waiting for her appt. at the end of the week, the doctor told her not to worry, but I do not blame her. Thanks in advance.

Re: Fibroids pressing on uterus.....
I am the person to talk to, DH and I were ttc for 1 year and 8 months with no luck and I finally discovered I had Fibroid Tumors that were sitting in my endometrial cavity...(uterus) and I had surgery on Oct. 15 and discovered I was pregnant 10 days later..I went through all the tests as well, feel free to ask me anything...depending on where the Tumors are they can be removed through the cervix and it was practically pain free.

I also thought that they can be removed depending on where they were and that it is not a dangerous or painful procedure

Re: Fibroids pressing on uterus.....
Jodi, I was not pregnant, my surgery was 10/15 I got my period 2 days later 10/17 as scheduled, the surgery DID NOT interupt my cycle and I got pregnant literally 10 days later. We weren't supposed to be doing anything for 2 weeks (doctor's orders) but of course we didn't listen and whala I discovered I missed my period the next month and thought it was due to the surgery but it was because I was pregnant!
Edited to say: They absolutely make sure you are not pregnant prior to the surgery.

I figured they would make sure you werent pregnant before any operation. That is such a great story though..here you are probably thinking ' I wonder how long now it will take to get pregnant after the surgery and it was only 10 days! I hope I have such luck after my dnc this thursday!

You will have that luck and I'm sending you some dust!! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* it's amazing how your periods are after they scrape you, you will notice the difference immediately. I thought it would take me at least another 3-4 months, so I guess I was blessed and lucky.
I will be thinking of you on Thursday and don't worry you will be fine, report back!

Re: Fibroids pressing on uterus.....
NuBride: by any chance was your fibroid a floating one or was it on a stem??? I have just been diagnosed with one but it's on a stem in my uterus...it was discovered in the end of january than in february i got my period twice...my doctor told me if i get it again twice in march she will probably have to do a dnc...since nobody i know has any experience with these things I really have no one to turn to...
