Fight with FH

Fight with FH

Driving home from work today was hellish. It was so slippery and scary, and took me 2 hours to drive what usually takes 30-40 min. FH takes the train, so he was already home when I called at 7:30.

I asked him to 'shovel the driveway' so I could get the car in the garage when I got home. To which he responded, 'there's only an inch of snow - you'll be fine.' I was so annoyed!

Anyway, when I finally come home at 9pm, I was sooo hungry and just assumed he'd have made dinner. I always make dinner when he comes home late. Needless to say, nothing was cooked as I find FH playing in the basement with his bicycles.

I was so disappointed. So much for teamwork in a marriage.
I got so mad!

Am I overreacting?

Its not that you are overreacting...i think that you are just majorly stressed. We just have to remember that even tho we always cook and do these nice and convienet things for our FH's that doesnt mean they are like that. I cant expect FH to be like me.

Although in regards to the snow I would be peeved...safety first.

I agree, I find more and more things about DH that I do that he doesnt do...no matter WHAT! I dont think you are over reacting but I think that is something to keep in mind

IMO and some experience MEN really have no clue. You have to spell out things most of the time. Even after years of marriage If I don't tell my husband to do something it doesn't get done. When I ask him to either have dinner ready or do the laundry or what ever it is always done. They definitely think differently then us so be patient and communicate.

I agree. They definitely think differently than us. Just communicate your needs, and I'm sure he will be more than happy to accomodate. The biggest mistake we make as women is assuming that FH can read our minds.....

good luck!
