So, is anyone else fighting with their FH during the planning process?
We've only just begun to plan for our engagement party and already we are disagreeing about the invitations (he wants something plain and brown--ewwww and I want something cute and fresh!)
Anyhow, part of me wants to tell him to back off and let me just do all the planning since I've been waiting for this day since I'm like 1 LOL..and then part of me knows he has the right to pick and be involved in everything just as much as I do!!
Anyone else experiencing this?

yea, sometimes we have different visions for the wedding. He doesnt want it to be traditional, i do. LOL But i eventually convince him of doing it my way, I think he knows how important the 'appearence' of everything is to me. Just to be fair i try to take some of his ideas and try to incorporate them someway. Maybe you can setle on a really light brown design on the invitation or something. lol

Yeah, I told him that we definitely can meet somewhere in the middle and we actually found a really pretty invitation that's brown and a sage floral pattern that we both liked so we'll see LOL
I told him that if he just lets me do what I want and always tells me that I'm right, we'll have a really happy life together !! LOLOLOL

I know, why can't they understand that we're always right. i say it all the time to, and he still hasnt learned.

Honestly, we have not fought at all since getting engaged. Before we used to fight a lot more, but I think it all centered around getting engaged. FH is so easy going... he agrees with everything I like. Actually - I'm the indecisive one - usually he's the one who ultimately makes all the decisions.
Hope your fighting ends with the good part... the make up...

yea we fight... he use to be the kind of person to always give me opinions... and now he doesn't as much... and i dont want to plan all this by myself... cuz i know in the end i wont get much credit, ppl will think he thought of most of it... (his family) but lately he's actually trying to tell me what he thinks....

we dont fight about planning b/c i get what i want. and hes starting to notice that :)
as spoiled as that sounds. we are paying for everything ourselves and im working my booty off to pay for all this stuff and being that we are paying so much i want exactly what i want lol

We really haven't fought over much planning stuff. We pretty much want the same thing . . . a big party! Although we may be fighting by the end of this yankee game tonight . . . ugh

Haven't run into anything like that yet...we did fight about inviting his mom friend...but that got settled... hang in there...at least he is taking an interest. you have to be a little happy about that...try to find a happy medium.

You are 100% right!! I definitely am glad he is getting involved and helping!!!
And we are also paying for this all on our own, so we both want to be 100% happy.
Don't get me started on inviting family friends though....that's a WHOLE nother story LOL

I wouldn't call it 'fighting' but we are disagreeing, but I think it's just part of our personalties. I want a big party to celebrate, he wants to keep it small and simple.
But then again, I can't even have them bring out a birthday cake for him in a restaurant cause he hates the attention...meanwhile, I throw myself a birthday party every year. LOL

We haven't fought................yet Im very lucky he lets me do really whatever I want... he just ask we get married in a church which i was against... but I had to go with it for him.

Well pretty much I am doing everything on my own. Which I think is better so we dont fight as much and I get my way . But he hates having to go places with me causehe says in the end no matter whathe says what ever I want he wants me to have. But we do fight when I do want him involved and he says he does it so I dont ask him so many things about the wedding. But I do include him whenever I can and I try not to make such big deals. His biggest thing that he was upset about is that we have 2 yrs and I booked so much already and I explained to him I got 07 prices before they went up and he now listens to me

hahaha My FH is a TOTAL Groomzilla!!! We looked at a beautiful castle for our wedding that I loved and he refused b/c he didn't like the color of their carpet!!!!
I just thought it was funny and am soooo happy that he has an active role in our wedding planning. We even got two wedding planning books as engagement gifts and when I wanted to return one he said 'no one can be for you and one for me!!!!' (I let him keep it but his is still blank and mine has a million pages in it and cut outs etc) I still like that he tried.

Yes because his sister offered to be the wedding planner for free but I told him I dont want her to because she will try to take over. But, we talked about it, I put it on him real good and now we are going with someone else
Yeah my FH is a pain, he has been married before so he THINKS he knows everything.

nope, we're not...he only has opinions about certain things like the food, rings, his tux, dj, and the honeymoon...other than that I run the show...lol
