FIL Update
I realized I never resolved this here...the REALLY short story is that they are coming as originally planned. However the way they came to this decision was to send us more than one email completely guilting us about 10 million things and making their son totally miserable. The kicker is that FMIL basically confirmed our decision in one of these emails...
Backstory: We ask that both sets of grandparents call us up or ask us before they buy something for Skye...we want to make sure she doesn't already have one, that we aren't planning to buy one and that she isn't getting anything we wouldn't approve of. According to FMIL (in her email) she loathes and detests this request (how hard is it to pick up a phone, really??) although she did what she wanted...then LATER ON in the SAME EMAIL she goes on about how she, in fact DID break our rule and bought Skye a bunch of stuff!!!
So FMIL...thank you for confirming for me that you do not, in fact, respect us as parents and do not feel the need to follow our requests, because it makes it very easy for me to tell you that you will never be alone with FSD again.![]()
As for the wedding...I'm completely furious with them and their despicable behavior and I have no intention of going out of my way for them whatsoever. There is no dust they can kick up to get under my skin and nothing they can do to ruin my day because I'd have to care about them first.
