FIL's are last min Larrys

my fil's always call to make plans with us right before said plans are suppose to take place .....
For example FH just called to tell me that we are (its about half an hour before I go home) going over his mothers house, BTW we have plans to go to my mothers house !!!!
This is getting so annoying and I got into a yelling match with him about it - I feel bad but I see my entire life consisting of a 'drop everything because we said so' kind of attitude.

I cant take it - is this happening to anyone else besides me?

Sorry I have been trying to focus on work lately aka not going to the boards so I didn't read it ... but I am a defeated woman today so here I go!

Rachel - I think these two might be related somehow. I can't take it with the constant switching subjects - that would drive me insane!!!!

my FIL's arent that bad. but they try to do that to his grandparents calling them up on the day of, and most often the grandparents are too busy with plans..

my parents are the opposite...I never thought I had to invite my parents to my own appartment...but I casually laughed how my mom only saw my apartment 2x...during the 4 years I lived in NYC (she always told me she doesn't like driving in the city)...but now she says its b/c she was never invited...

since when do you have to invite your mom to your house?
