FILs Drama... Long
So we went to see FILs for the holidays, we only stayed 2 days and we decided to ask our FG (FH's only niece) on this trip. That went fine, but we also wanted to ask FHs BIL (FG's Dad) to be a GM and we were undecided on asking his younger sis, the FG's mom, (we already asked his other sis) to be a BM.
We've been leaning toward NOT asking his younger sis -- let's call her 'Amy' -- to be a BM because FH doesn't get along with her well and she is a MAJOR drama queen. I'm not close with her at all, though I am close with his other sis -- let's call her 'Dee'.
FH takes it upon himself to bring up the issue of why Amy has not yet been asked to be a BM to his mom. Big mistake, I think, plus he didn't even discuss it with me first. Anyway, he tells her that we want her hubby-'Kevin', her daughter (the FG), and we would be honored if Amy did a reading but not be a BM because it would be too much of an expense for their one family. So, FMIL offers to pay for Amy's BM expenses. Luckily FH still tells we are undecided, because not 4 hrs later into our visit did he and Amy get into a little tiff.
Well, the spat was resolved pretty quickly but FH was still pretty pissed at her. Then some drama erupted over sleeping arrangements and we were booted from FMILs house to Dee's house thanks to Amy (an even longer story). Well, after all this I told FH that I REALLY did NOT want her to be a BM but I still really wanted Kevin and so did he.
So now the dilemma remains... Amy's daughter is the FG. We want Kevin as a GM, and we want Amy to do a reading, NOT as a BM. But now I'm worried that with Amy being such a friggin drama queen that if we ask Kevin and not her, she'll bug out and even pull her daughter out as an FG. Probably even at the last minute to be as dramatic as possible. Obviously, FH can't even be around her for more than 12 hrs without some kind of argument erupting, so she can't possibly be a BM. He thinks that maybe we should just ask neither of the parents. I feel terrible about the whole thing .... what do you girls think??
Sorry so long!
