Re: Final count?
If I don't meet my minimum, I'll give exact count, because I'm paying for ghosts at that point anyway.
By some grace of God I do meet my minimum, I will give 4 less than final count, because there are 4 heads I don't entirely trust thus far.

Re: Final count?
i gave 5 less and it worked out because 6 ppl didnt show up so we only paid for 1 additional person.
Always give less ppl because you never know and you will just have to bring the amount with you the day of.

Someone made a good point in my thread the other day, have your mom hide them in her purse, and if you see the people actually showed during CH, have her discreetly slip it on the table. Have them made up with whatever table they would be at if they did come...if they actually show, they can quickly add 2 more chairs or whatever.

Re: Final count?
I know I had to tell my BM by CH of the # of ppl so that the place settings could be put down. But I had a friend come who originally couldnt make it due to work surprise me and they just put an extra setting for her with no problem.

Re: Final count?
I think I'm going to end up putting the exact count. I don't want to be bothered with figuring out who's place card to hide and then putting the extra seat... etc. Especially if I were someone who RSVP's yes and I came and there was no seat for me. I'd be sad.
It's all such a gamble. I totally get why you do it though. It's soo annoying if you have to pay for someone then they don't go.

Re: Final count?
I gave them the exact count and regret doing that. I wish I left 5 off but then you have to give them a master list of the guest.

Re: Final count?
Im giving exact... I dont want the stress and hassle of having to keep a look out that day or hurt someones feelings if they do show. At that point balance is paid....Yeah I am on HUGE budget, but after paying over $20,000 on a wedding, to have one or two people not show is the least of my debt troubles lol
