I have to give my final count today..... I have 232 adults, 6 kids and 5 vendors. What should I submit as my final count to the hall?
How many of my adults won't show up??

I was told to take off 6-8 off the top. It's easier to add people later on.

I think it depends on what the track record is for your guests. For example, our final guest count was 185, and we had 172 (thats with my LIW brides filling in!). It was alll DH's family and friends- but we knew that going in (we had an RSVP 'yes' count of 203).
Are you guests the type that don't respect RSVPs?

The 232 have RSVP'D, but I am very scared that people will just not show up. My aunt had 11 people who RSVP'd for my shower, that did not show up.
