Final count question

Final count question

FH has 5 family members who are flakes. 3 said they are coming via text 2 we have not heard from but family said they will be there.

When I give final numbers should I just leave them off or include them and risk losing that money?

Why not call them and ask if their rsvp was lost in the mail????? That way they can tell you if they're coming or not.

The last 2 wont answer phone calls and the first 3 are from out of town, texted they are coming but haven't booked a hotel room anywhere, per their text.

leave those 5 out of the final counts. make sure they're not on your seating charts (yet) too or your RH will make you pay for them regardless.

you can always add them later ... it'd be hard to remove them (well, not hard, but expensive).

I totally agree - lowball your 'final' count because you can always add (at least up to a certain day), but you can't subtract. Just make sure that the 'final seating chart' reflects the lowball..

Re: Final count question

Within 1 week prior to the wedding I had 5 people who rsvp'd yes, either call or email to say they weren't coming. I would leave them out for now. Having to remove people caused more issues than having to add them- especially with the seating plan. As it turned out, we were just at our minimum so when they cancelled we had to pay anyway since this put us below the minimum. We just had the wrap up some meals for us and took them home with us, so it wasn't a total loss.
