I need help deciding on a hotel to stay in for our Cancun vacation next month. These are the ones we have narrowed it down to because of our budget. I've searched the internet high and low for info about them and I'm confused because they all have some good reviews and bad reviews. We originally were going to go with the Oasis Playa but I've read a lot of bad things about the Oasis hotels and also that there is a lot of construction being done one these resorts. Also I prefer it to not have a lot of nudity. I'm just not into that kind of place. One of the hotels we were considering actually had naked volleyball competitions, not my style. We scratched that one, lol. Please help, I need to book this ASAP...Thanks!!!!

Steer clear of the Oasis hotels!!!! Or even avoid the hotel zone of Cancun if you can all together!!!
I stayed in the Oasis Playa years ago, and while it was fine, hindsight 20/20 I would have done a lot more research.
We were in Cancun for our HM, (about 20 minutes south of the hotel zone at what used to be Secrets) and there was a LOT of construction going on all over the hotel zone. If you can find a hotel just south of Cancun that fits into your budget, take it. You will be so much happier if you do.
However, if you're going for the nightlife and want to be in the hotel zone, then try staying more towards the northern end. There was not quite as much construction going on.

we stayed at royal 2 years ago & we loved it! we want to go back! the whole stafff was soooooooooo nice

Stay away from the Oasis hotels!!!! JMO Check travelocity.com for hotel reviews.

I stayed at the Royal Solaris in Cabo last month and loved it.
ETA: In Cancun, we've stayed at the Riu Caribe and the Marriott CasaMagna. We actually spent less money going for the non all inclusive route (and we stayed longer on that trip too).

Definitely check out all the reviews on tripadvisor.com...they are so helpful. Sorry, I don't know those resorts! We're staying at the Excellence Riviera Cancun.
