Final Draft of Our Aisle Runner... What do you think?

Laurie from LA Blossom just sent this to me! (I think I drove her nuts with the specific dimensions, but it will be perfect!!! Not CRAZY about the S in Sarah in this font, but I want the font to be all the same)

Well, the J/S thing is going to be on everything until we're married since etiquette says you're not supposed to have your full monogram until you're officially married. (church programs, cry packs, invitations, aisle runner, etc.)

At the reception, everything will be the full monogram (reception packet, cake, favors, placecards, etc.)

it looks great!!

there are two different fonts though... the top S is different then the bottom S...

Oh...ops...well our full monogram is on the 65 petal cones I made...oh well..they took too long to care about etiquette...but makes sense...What color is the writing going to be?

I know... and I'm not crazy about the S in Sarah, but I love the JS intertwined design. But I figure we only notice that because we're looking at it on a screen. No one will notice from the moment they walk in the church looking down, by the time they walk allllllllll the way to the altar.

Maybe, though, I can ask her to change JUST the S to see what it would look like. I really just don't like that S in Sarah. It doesn't even look like an S, but that's the font.

I think either way a bride wants to go with is fine. I kind of like the 'crossing the bridge' meaning of initials into full monogram. But I think you can do whatever. Plus I love the way the J and the S intertwine! . The C would just mess it all up! lol.

I'm just going to go with black for the writing. The church floor is green. And I'm going to have rose petals along the edges of the aisle runner, so I don't want to have too many colors going on, so just black. Plus, I want to eventually frame it for my house, so black paint is safe for that, too.

What type of material do they use and how do they put the writing on it? I want to do one!!!

They use a lace (I think) aisle runner, and they use paint to, um, paint the writing on it.

She also was willing to do whatever design I wanted on it, but I really wanted to keep it simple.

I dont think anyone would notice either... i just wanted to make sure you knew since you said you wanted it all one font!!
