Final Guest List

After waiting forever for FMIL to get me the final guest list- we are at 290!!! I am having a heart attack! I soo did not expect to be that high! Anyone else have out of control lists!!??

When we did our list it was 150, then FMIL gave us her list, we are up to 250!

We started out with 150 and wound up inviting 263 so I can feel your pain. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some more No RSVPs.

we were at 308, but i got it down to 285.

Geez - 466 is huge! I started thinking I would have about 130. I am inviting 215. Who knew I knew so many people?

I guess that's a benefit to being immigrants...

almost all of FH's family, and 1/2 of my family are in europe... a few are coming here for the big day, but obviously not many....

so, it's only about 25 relatives in total + a few close friends ...... under 70 in all!

I had a similar issue, they gave us more names than my parents, who are paying! They included people who FH did not know and had not seen for years. People who his parents aren't even close to (like his sister and BIL's friends)!!!! FH tried to say cut the list, but that didnt work (they cut three couples, no joke) then had to give them an actual number to cut down to. FFIL was annoyed, but since he was not offereing to pay at all, he really didn't have a choice. So he made his A list and B list for people to invite if A's say no. But we basically divided the whole number into three (his fam, my fam and our friends). Yes, it caused a little drama, but now it's settled down! Good Luck!!!
