How long have you been planning Nic? I just noticed you joined in 05. I say it's smart to have a somewhat long engagement. More time to save and plan. You're going to school too right? That must be hard to do so much!

Yes, MORE than a 2 yr engagment. I felt like this 1 yr mark would never come.

I'm still in school (graduating in May! no more school, everrrr!), FH wants his masters before the wedding, we want to have enough $ to have a nice place to live close to our families after the wedding, etc.

I wish the real deal was tomorrow.

eta: In my head, I didn't see a problem with a long engagement. I've already been with FH for about 7 years...I have no doubt that my future will be wrapped around his....If waiting is going to make my day all that I dreamed of (financially), then I don't have a problem waiting for my PERFECT day!
