We got our MARRIAGE LICENSE on lunch.... Dowtown - 1 Centre St. Took about 40 minutes total. SO EXCITING! We were totally taking camera phone pics at every window & then when we were done outside w/ the Brooklyn Bridge in the background...

You can get your license 60 days prior to your wedding.... and at least 24 hours before your ceremony. You have to get a money order- ours was for $35 but I think in Long Island it may be $40... You go to the town or city clerks office (you & FH). Here's a link that might help:
