fh and i have been agonizing over this decision for months now. we were looking for someplace secluded, beachy, and off the beaten path... and finally today we found it!!!!!

mustique is a teeny little island in the grenadines, which you can travel completely around in a golf cart in just 45 minutes - lol! our hotel has only 4 rooms and is exactly what we were looking for!! just thought i'd share...

very true - mustique is out of the 'hurricane belt', which is not to say that it won't get hit, but it's much less likely. and you're not likely to have the afternoon rains, either... though i went to jamaica in september once, and while it did rain every day, the showers were predictably in the afternoon and only lasted a few minutes. it was actually sort of refreshing

no, i didn't use a travel agent. i started out with one, but she was very resistant to booking something a little different. she kept on trying to send us to one of the other bigger, more commercial islands. don't get me wrong - those islands are beautiful and i'm sure we would have been at a fabulous place - but it just wasn't what we were looking for in our honeymoon.
plus, she was quoting us $700 for a nonstop flight to barbados, which we booked online ourselves for $420!
i booked the hotel directly, since they were offering free flights from barbados to mustique for stays over 9 nights (worth $800).
