Finally getting things together!

Hi Everyone,

So I am a 2011 bride. We are in the process of booking Oheka Castle and getting into the exciting things.

I just wanted to say hello. Although, the wedding is going to be off peak season the price is still on the higher end of our budget. Im hoping to find good and cheaper options for most everything else in the wedding!

I am happy to hear about your soon to be booking!!! Oheka was my dream location, but just couldn't get to comfortably paying for it. I hope you have a great time planning!

I got engaged at Oheka! SO beautiful, we were considering having the wedding there too, the food is AMAZING, but we were set on our date and the site fee was just too expensive, so I'm a little jealous

We did wind up booking a more expensive venue than we were planning though, and now I'm finding that silly things like the centerpieces need to be more extravagant in order to compete with the decor and the spirit of the venue as opposed to what they would have needed to be at some of the other venues we looked at. Also, I don't know if vendors are like oh, based on her venue, they can afford more expensive stuff, but I'm finding it to be a struggle to 'Cheap out' on the other stuff because we splurged on the venue.

I'll share my tips if you share yours.
