And the nightmares started already!!! Its first grade and I was a second grade leave replacement teacher last year. I know its not a huge leap but it will be different and its me from day one. Any advice from elementary teachers would be appreciated! TIA!

i always wanted to b a teacher just so i could have my own classroom, it seemed exciting to buy charts and those little borders that go on bulletin boards, im sucha dork:)

You will be great!! I did K for four years..first is a big growing year for reading. Research as much as you can on whatever idea your school goes with for Reading/writing. Those are sooo crucial for first. Know you kids' levels in the beginning..so you can help get their reading moving and their writing progressing. Lots of math manips for lessons..stuff Im sure you do already. First is great. You'll love it!!! Oh, author studies are great for first grade! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

First grade is one of the only ones I have never been in, during college or after.
