We finally decided what we wanted. It looks like this photo with a few differences (we are having it made) - it will be made of oak with a whitewash finish (this one is maple), have a toe-kick bottom all the way around and rounded corners at the mid-section and tempered glass (so the kids don't get hurt). Now I just have to wait weeks for him to make it. I can't wait!!!

A place called Dynamic Wood Designs in Copiague. He also made my dining room set and will do the finish to match. For the quality you get, it's definitely worth it (and it's not even the most expensive I've seen). They will use any kind of wood you want, make any style you want, and finish. We looked at the ones in the store and they seemed so cheaply made compared to this. We were happy with his work on the dining room set so after we looked around, we went back for the china cabinet.
