Finally registered!

Finally registered!

So after months of people asking us when we are going to register, we finally did today! We went to Bed Bath and Beyond in Westbury. They were awesome!! They helped us pick out our china, flatware and stemware and then we went around the store on our own. SO MUCH FUN!! I think FH enjoyed it more than I did!! They also have registry incentives where if you put a certain amount of items on your list from one brand, they send you a free gift. Exciting!!!

How far is advance are you suppose to register for your wedding? Does it matter? Or does the store delete the registry after a while.

Whenever you want...I'm sept 2012 and we registered last month, people were asking us and our E-Party is next month. Figured might as well make the registries then I can always update them online so that's what we did.
The stores don't delete them until like 2 years after your wedding. That's what I was told.

Re: Finally registered!

So my mom looked over our registry and said a lot of things we picked out are expensive, like our china. For those girls who have already registered, how much is 1 place setting of your china? Ours is $125 for a 5 piece setting by Waterford. Is this too expensive?

I think as you have a variety of price points on your registry, I think you will be fine. Here is an option though, does Macy's sell the same place setting. I know that the place setting I want to register for is sold at both BBB and Macys, but I have seen it go on a one day special for $79.99 at Macy's when they have a really good sale (its a Lenox setting which is normally I think between $115-125). So when I finally do register, I may register for my fine china at Macy's so I can give my guests that option.
