finally settled yay... accused of hating

** Okay so the AP called the Sister (principal) and explained the situation. She said she has done that to every teacher and usually around report card time so they will pass her children. Unfortunately, with my mix she can not pull that.... so in a way, i did a good th ing! yay!!

So, I do not go around telling people that I am 8 different nationalities, because I was raised saying I was an American...

Now, today... this mother that I am having a problem with from the beginning... tells me t hat the reason I didnt give her a 1030 appt for parent teacher conferences (SHE NEVER TOLD ME SHE WANTED THAT TIME and, the other parents have siblings and the way the school works is that they pick the times they want to make it to each of the teachter) was because I wanted to get the 'Greek-Black-Arab' gone and done with....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, my FATHER has those nationalities in him!!!!!!! I am also phillipino and a mess of other things !!! When she said that to me my mouth dropped and I was like 'Are you kidding' and she says 'Yeah ur a racist'.

I almost cried. I hate being accused of things that have nothing to do with the situation. So then I said 'My father is the exact nationalities as your children and more so dont accuse someone without knowing who they are if anything YOURE the racist'. And started shaking because I was so upset.

Now, I am a mess BECAUSE I am afraid that she is going to try to get my fired for discrimination. Should I inform the school that I am a 'mutt'? I dont knwo what to do. I am so upset right now because I DO NOT JUDGE ANYONE and this week has been terrible!!!

I am so sorry this happened to you. Some times people throw the hate to say it 'race/nationality card' to get what they want and its a shame because in this day and age a lot of people are mixed of many things. I would go to your principal and tell him/her the situation. This person was rude to you, yes it was a parent but they personally attached you and thats just wrong.

The problem is, is that my last name is irish, and so I believe as terrible as it sounds i was hired by my school because of that. During the interview she said 'Its nice to have a nice young irish catholic here'. If i go to her, and tell her, hey, im not all irish, Im scared I PERSONALLY willbe treated differently.

And I constantly sit around with allthe women who talk about different cultures etc and say nothing. My whole life has been similar to my big fat greek wedding, and bend it like beckam haha...

I dont know... Thank you though. I really am sitting here shaking because I can not believe that. Im actually scared now because at our christmas show my aunt always come (she is black and greek) and Im afraid if she sees her with me she will say something...and my aunt will attack... she is very very protective...
my minds just spinning now... I dont want this to ruin my weekend...

I just called the school and said I wanted to speak with the AP asap (Im friends with her)

She asked me what happened and I told her and she started laughing and said 'DOES SHE KNOW WHO SHES TALKING TO?? Your planet earth in human form'

Made me smile...

Im going to type it up now, and print it.

Should I Add that I am also multi cultural as a footnote or something?

try to put down the exact words of the convo ... what u said and what she said .... as a school psychologist in training... ive learned if its not down on paper, it either never happened or will be turned into something totally different!!!!

I have another teacher as a witness. I asked for her to write her version and im writing mine. Theyre the same.

I just called my lawyer because I wanted to know what he thinks. JUST incase. He said becaus I am multi that she would have no case. And I am actually more than her because I have the Asian as well so I could turn it back around....
