FINALLY!!!! - some venting and VERY LONG

So I got engaged on New Years Eve (well a half hour after the ball dropped). My FSIL (FH's sister) was getting married this past May. She made me PROMISE that I didn't do anything until AFTER her wedding. Well I'll digress from that because it just makes me upset. Well FSIL is my Matron of Honor. Since ALL of my girls are choosing different dresses I wanted my sister (maid of honor) and my FSIL (matron of honor) to pick out their dresses first before the BMs pick their dresses out. So after FSIL's wedding (May), was our engagement party (June). side note: I just have to say thank goodness my girls decided they didn't want to wait until it was convinent for my FSIL because they were too excited and didn't want to have to wait until she felt like it was her time to go looking for dresses. Anyway, so FINALLY my sister (maid of honor) went and looked and found her dress. Now the dresses have to be ordered in January but I wanted to do them before the holidays since it's CRAZY expensive time for everyone (3 of my BM's are getting married next year too). ANYWAY, my sister got her dress and my FSIL kept telling me that 'I want to loose weight' and 'you have so much time' (which is possibly one of the most ANNOYING things someone can say). Well, my cousin (one of my BM's) is from Philly and she's coming on the 24th. So I told my FSIL for the past month 'you really should go get your dress before Lisa comes'. So YESTERDAY I EMAILED HER (again I had to chance her down) and she said we can go next week! How nice of her?!?!? But FINALLY, I can go look for her dress. I even told her awhile back that she doesn't have to buy it know, I just want my other girls to be able to start putting a deposit down. I'm still COMPLETELY annoyed because when she got married I like RAN to the store and bought my dress (and even helped her pick out dresses behind her MOH's back - who hates me by the way) and she just keeps blowing me off. I just hope she changes her attitude towards this wedding because I BUSTED my BUTT for her wedding and she just seems to not care at all. My sister (maid of honor) lives out of state and is a doctor so she can't be here for anything but when I call my FSIL she just tells me 'you have plenty of time'. UGH!!!!!

Ok I'm done now! LOL! Sorry! So next Tuesday we're going to look at dresses for her! YAY!!!!!!

Sorry you're having problems, but why not explain to her that you want all of the dresses ordered before the holidays and that you'd appreciate her cooperation.

I got a similar comment from my sister (matron of honor), especially with the 'I want to lose weight.' My response: 'You can ALWAYS take the dress in.'

Thanks girls! I told her months ago that that's why I wanted to get it done sooner so that the girls had time to shop before the holidays. She still kept putting me off.

HAHA! I told her the same thing! I also told her she didnt' even have to order it now, but I just needed her to pick out her dress so the other girls can order theirs when they wanted to. FH's family is just driving me INSANE lately LOL and his sister is just making it VERY difficult to still want her as my MOH. I just hope she does a complete 180 after the new year.
