Financial counseling needed...
Does anyone know someone I can go see to discuss our financial problems with and see if they can help me straighten them out? I'm in NC so I know you can't really suggest anyone from LI, but what type of person would be able to help? I really don't want to go to Debt Mgmt because they just push the Debt Consolidation on us. We're not sure what we want to do yet. Thanks!

We really need to do something with our credit card debt.
We were originally suppose to get a certain loan to pay off our credit cards, long story, but it didn't work out due to my DH credit score dropping. So we need to get his score back up to get the loan, but we can't afford to pay more than the minimum each month because the APR is high, so I can't see us being able to get his score up at all. But, we can't just not do nothing either. We can hardly make our bills every month as it is. So I thought about debt consolidation, but that wouldn't lower our monthly payment, it would ruin my DH credit score, (mine is already low), and then we won't be able to get a new car that my DH will desperately need at some point since his is dying, because the debt consolidation would should show up, and ruin that, then when his score does go up, we won't be able to get the loan either if we're on the debt mgmt program, so that leaves me with nothing I guess? I wish we had other options, but I can't think of any! Can anyone help? PLEASE!!!!
