FH and I are trying to get on track with our finances so we can save for a house and we figured it would be better for both of us to have a third party tell us how much disposable income we have rather than one of us telling the other.
So, does anyone have/use/know of a financial planner? Not even necessarily a name but how I would go about finding one?

Re: Financial Planner
my boss reccomended the company Edward Jones--he has a friend that works there, so he reccomend him specificaly, but I have seen them in various locations. Also, I think my bank ( hsbc) has a financial planning dept, but that may be a conflict of interest.

Re: Financial Planner
I also know Citibank does them for free - at least one meeting - I'm not sure if you have to be a member there or not, but check with your bank. They may offer something.
