Okay so FH and I recently opened a joint savings for the wedding planning. Well next year FH will be attending Graduate school and therefore needs to apply for financial aid. Now if my name is the first name on the account and the one used for taxing purposes, does FH have to show the account as part of his income???

honestly... i never included my savings account when filling out FASFAs for financial aid purposes... not ever once through my 4 years of undergrad or for grad school, and I filled them out every year...

you don't put savings on the FAFSA if you are married you do need to include both incomes.
