Thanks for the many messages of welcome -- now I'm afraid I'm hooked!
Went shopping for my dress with MOB and fell in love with a Yolanda organza number that is over my budget.
Does anyone know of something similar to this? Basically its a strapless with lace on the top that sort of trails off at the waist. I love the antique color!
(Jenna is a friend (and bridesmaid!) of mine and is sitting next to me as I type this! )

Re: finding a cheaper version of my dream dress
You can check to see if bridepower.com has one in stock. They only carry sample sizes though 10,12... good luck! Its an amazing dress!!! may i ask how much it costs?

How right you are, Deirdre. That's the wrong picture -- though it is a lovely dress!
Please reply regarding the following images (if you have any info)
Try netbride.com or pearlsplace.com. You give them the style number and they'll quote a price.

I think Marisa makes one similar and you can purchase her gowns online. Let me see if I can find it for you.

Re: finding a cheaper version of my dream dress
hey there
my friend just ordered this Maggie Sottero from Burtons for under 1000 dollars if i am not mistaken..
it is aline, strapless and the overlaying lace is absouletly beautiful....
Try La Couture in Cold Spring Harbor. They are going out of business and may have that sample to sell cheap.
~or~ try Moonlight Couture in Merrick (I think). They have a manufacture that copies dresses (especially Yolanda) and gave me a price of about $1000.00 less.
lastly I negotiated with Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and got them to give me 10% off.

Re: finding a cheaper version of my dream dress
I know a lot of brides go to bridesave.com and have found the same dresses for a very reasonable price, you should try that!
