Finding a China Pattern
I don't know why this is so difficult. I have been to Fortunoff's 3 times this weekend. I chose a china pattern because FH did not want to deal with it and then I took him back and he said he didn't like it and then we went back again and still can't decide which one. Why is this so difficult??? Can you post your china patterns so maybe I can show him something that we will both like. I think we will eat with paper plates!!!

Re: Finding a China Pattern
Here's mine - It's Pearl Innocence by Lenox. It took me forever to decide on a pattern. It's so expensive, I didn't want to pick something I'd hate in 2 years.
For me, I kept eyeing simple, classic patterns. You just want to make sure you're going to like it for years to come, and it's helpful to have something that goes with different seasons, tablecloths, etc.

Re: Finding a China Pattern
we chose continental gold by lenox, its a great set you dont have to buy 5 pieces if you dont want to making it more affordable for people and the coffe cup is of decent size so you can have a real cup of coffee, I was gonnd go with platinum but just changed my mind. The set is dishwasher and microwave safe too, there are so many pretty patterns good luck!

Re: Finding a China Pattern
We chose Wedgwood St Moritz. If possible maybe you should try to look in the Fortunoff in the city or even Bloomingdales. I felt that the china section at Fortunoff in Westbury was overwhelming. So I picked out a couple I liked in the city and then FH picked from the narrowed down choices.

Re: Finding a China Pattern
We had a lot of trouble picking out both formal and casual china...While our formal is really considered casual, they still charge $129 a set...lolWe mixed and matched with villeroy and boch
here is the matching crystal...
for casual...I went through 3 or 4 decisions...finally I came up with Lindt Stymeist...it is a japanese company and while BB&B and Fortunoff both offer it...they only do so online...but its worth it...I LOVE it and I could see myself using it at formal occassions...(It comes out to be $90 a set)
