I am looking for a Roman Catholic church (we are both Catholic) near the Vanderbilt Mansion in Oakdale. Our church is in Mahattan which is too far. I contacted St. Mary's and a few others with no luck...anyone have suggestions beside me just running down a list and calling everyone? Thanks!!!
I grew up in Holbrook and went to Good Shepard RC Church. My grandmother attended a beautiful church in Patchogue but both of those recommendations may not be what you're looking for. I'll ask around.
I have been having a tough time. Not looking for anything huge, something pretty and preferably not to modern that will allow outside parishioners. I keep trying to get intouch with St. Patrick's in Bayshore but no response yet. Thanks for the help!
That was going to be my suggestion. I would keep trying - it's a beautiful church and from what I understand, they will take outside parishoners.

You've tried St. Mary's in Sayville? My church is the next town over to Oakdale...try St. John Nepomucene RC Church in Bohemia. It's very close to your hall. Here's their number: 631-589-0540
