After trying on a few dresses, I have noticed that different stores charge different prices for the same vendor and style dress. How do/did you find your dress for the least amount of $??

Re: Finding your dress cheaper
I don't know if I would try and find something cheaper...by that I mean that I would be so excited about finding 'the' dress that I would go into 'whats an extra $XX'
I should learn to bargain shop alot more but who am I kidding I'm too lazy when it comes to saving money...lol I get to caught up in the moment

Re: Finding your dress cheaper
I am probably going to order my dress online. When I get home from work today, i will post a whole list of websites that carry designer gowns for significantly cheaper. I found it in a book I bough that lists how to get all things cheaper. As of right now, i am going to order my dress from pearlsplace.com. It is a bridal salon in LA that is an authorized dealer for a bunch of different designers.

If you have a store you like ask them to match/beat the price of the cheaper store. I'm leary of ordering on the internet for my dress, but I'm considering it since I have heard such good things.

I tried on the dress at a bridal salon, then ordered it from netbride.com for about half price!

I would say go to different salons first, try the dress that you want and than order it online. that its what I'm doing. After that you can go bridalgown.com and request up to three quotes.

Re: Finding your dress cheaper
I fell in love with my dress in Macy's where I first tried it on, but they wanted about $1800 for it. I went to the smaller bridal salons w/ a picture of the dress. I went to Fantasia's Bridal in Rocky Point. I showed them the pic and said 'I want something like this'. The girl said that they just got the sample for that dress it. Well, I tried it on, it fit perfectly and was in excellent shape...since I was only the 2nd person to ever try it on. So...I bought it off the rack and saved $800!!!

Re: Finding your dress cheaper
I just called RK Bridal in the city and they told me that they will match the lowest quote I have received by 5%. I cannot have my alterations done there, but they are legit. I think I am going to get my dress from them.
My friend also got a BM dress from them and said they were great. The person who altered her dress botched it up and they rush ordered another one for her.
