Re: FINE ART PHOTO & VIDEO

a friend of mine used them and she was very happy....they did the most beautiful job on her thank you cards...the picture itself was actually the card and on the inside they had created a collage of smaller pictures from the church to the end of the night, retelling the story of the wedding...simply gorgeous..

Re: FINE ART PHOTO & VIDEO

I just picked up my proofs yesterday from my 8/04 wedding. All I can say is WOW! They're gorgeous. There are so many great shots...I don't know how we're going to narrow it down. Chuck was our photographer. Along with talent, he has a GREAT personality. He had us laughing and smiling all day. I hate taking pictures, but he actually made taking pictures pleasant. I would recomment them in a heartbeat.

By the way, he is making sample albums (for his office & Crest Hollow) with our pictures. But, you probably won't see them for a few months.

Any questions, let me know. I'd be happy to answer them.

Re: FINE ART PHOTO & VIDEO

I am using them for my December wedding and they have been wonderful to work with so far. I just took my engagement pictures on tuesday with Chuck and it went really well. I'll have to wait 3 weeks to get my proofs back. If you do a search on them you will find a lot of positive posts about them. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Re: FINE ART PHOTO & VIDEO

thanks for your help girls!

photos are really important to me & that's why i'm being very picky with choosing a place.

i am so crazy that i even checked out the BBB (better business bureau)...& in the last 36 months they have had 2 complaints & in the last 12 months they have had 1 complaint...

it sounds like you are all really happy so far...

are you using them for video as well?

are they flexible with their packages??

Re: FINE ART PHOTO & VIDEO

Would any of you mind telling me the price range Fine Art is in for photography. We were considering setting up an appointment to meet with them, but I'm not sure if they'll fit into our budget or not. Thanks.

Re: FINE ART PHOTO & VIDEO

I think their cheapest package starts at around $3800 and it goes up from there. I am also using them for my video. Their video was pretty much the same as the video I saw from other companies and I thougt it was easier to get them both from the same place.

Re: FINE ART PHOTO & VIDEO

I am using Fine Art as well. I liked what I saw and from personal firends heard they were wonderful I met with Chuck and liked him a lot. I am finally taking my engagment pictures in 2 weeks so I can't wait to see how he works.

A friend of mine highly recommended them. (Three members of her family used them for their weddings.) My friend warned me to book your appointment to make your book as soon as you pick up your proofs. She waited and it took her 6 months to get an appointment. It took her sister 4 months. She said the appointment was great (3 hours ) and they went thru her pictures with a magnifying glass. She was really pleased.

My brother also used them for his wedding but hasn't got his proofs yet.

One thing I need to talk to them about when I go for my engagement photos is the photographer. The day of the my friend's wedding, another photographer showed up (not Chuck). She was pleased with his work and was told Chuck had a death in his family. Understandable. But coincidentally, the day of my brother's wedding the photographer he booked (I think Frank) didn't show either with no excuse. Both of them had the photographer they wanted in te contract. Also, on the day of my brother's wedding the videographer switched mid-way thru the day. No excuse either.

Re: FINE ART PHOTO & VIDEO

Bridetobe.

Something like that makes me wonder....how could they not show up & send someone else without calling the bride/groom?? that would make me extremely upset...

i will definitely bring this question up when i meet with them...

why would they switch videographers with no explanation?? did your friend ever find out what happened?

Re: FINE ART PHOTO & VIDEO

I saw their work and it is very nice if you like traditional photos. I didn't see many candids or photojournalist type photos. I also thought they were expensive for what they offered.
It really depends on what types of photos you are looking for.

Re: FINE ART PHOTO & VIDEO

My photographer for the day of the wedding is Jimmy. When I took my engagement pictures a few days ago Chuck was the photographer. I requested Jimmy but he was not available. As far as the day of my wedding, Jimmy is doing the first 8/9 hours and Frank will be doing the rest of the party. I was told this ahead of time when I booked with them. Jimmy sayshe needs someone to relieve him when brides book him for more than 8 hours. I have them booked from 2pm - 3am, so it is a long day for 1 photographer.
