Fine China

Fine China

I have been looking around at all the fine china but cant swallow the idea of people spending 135 + a setting.

My next idea was to register just for dinner plates and bread a butter plates, it makes it really less expensive but is that tacky?

I am getting a tea set passed down from my grandma so i will have that to use for tea service.

if possible post your fine china or if you are registering for it!

ahhh TIA!

Heres a pic of my setting!

Re: Fine China

at macys you can register for it seperately

i think its only with some sets that you can.

Waterford Brocade

I think it was $114 per place setting at Bed Bath and Beyond and I think you can use a coupon with it? Not 100% sure.

There are tons of china sets that are under $100 a setting - some as low as like $49 per setting. If you want fine china, then I say register for it, see if you get it. If you don't, then you can decide if you want it when it's on your dollar.

I registered for Italian Countryside by Mikasa as my everyday plates, but it is in fact china too. I think it's service for 8 for $199 so that's a really good option as well.

That's a good price. Macy's has it for $125 a setting.

we registered for a fancier dinner plate then an everyday set...we'll prob be renting for a year or buying a condo..so we figured we would get fine china once we buy a house!

This is mine: lenox Continental Dining™ Platinum 5-Piece Place Setting

$99 a setting

Re: Fine China

ours is lenox Venetian Lace...at Macys't is on sale for $139 not on sale $189 but it goes on sale practically every other week.

We also registered for the accent plates and pretty much everything else it comes with. We did not register for a tea set since I have a japanese cast iron pot for tea and we are mainly coffee drinkers after dinner anyway.

Re: Fine China

i also didn't think anyone would spend $120+ on me for one fine china place setting.
so i chose Mikasa Love Story. Its only $49 per place setting and i really did fall in love with it! its so gorgeous, to me at least
