My FH is in the fire dept an all though we are not having a fire dept themed wedding we are having our place settings that are little fire trucks with the cards sticking out of the top of them......Here is the problem, I am not very crafty and I am having a hard time figuring out the best way to connect the cards to the trucks. We where going to use wire but it looked alittle cheesy, then we where gonna use those alligator clip that you find on the new types of picture holders......anyway we cant find them anywhere to buy them. So does anyone have any ideas or pics of something they might have done or are doing???? Please help

Do you have a picture of the trucks you are using? That might help to figure out the best way to set the card up.

fh is fd also. there is a bakery (black forrest I think) that does a fire truck cake. i saw a pic in one of the photographers books i was looking at and it was so cute. i am going to find out where and get it for rd as grooms cake. if you are interested i'll repost when i find out exactly where to get it maybe even able toget a pic

How about a glue gun? Rubber cement? Or just propping the cards up against them?

We are both in the Fire Dept. We have been trying to think of ideas. I found a Fire Department Garter on a web site I think I will use. I love the idea of place cards. I would love to see how they come out. I also found a cake topper that has a bride dragging a groom in turnout gear with a helmet and all I thought that was cute.

how do you want to place them? on the top or on the side,? you could even do them glued to the back of the truck so that way you can still see the whole truck, and do small name tags... see if you can post that pic so I can help you out with this.. Im pretty good with artsy stuff

Yes we are having a fire truck at the church for pitures along with the Racing cars, (FH is on the racing team).. I love the way that look...white dress again the red truck!!

I'm picturing a fire ladder holding them up. Don't know how to do it, but that's what I see in my head. lol. It sounds cute!

Do the fire trucks have ladders on them? Maybe you can attach the cards to the ladders somehow, maybe glue gun or just sticking them in? Post pics when you get a chance.

Another cute idea, I wanted to do but ,my husband wouldnt let me,
Is to have the bride on the top of the wedding cake with the groom climbing the laddor on the firetruck to get to her.
