Hello, I was thinking about going to Fire Island Saturday-Sunday, if possible for my Bachelorette party. Do you think this will be possible? Does anyone know of a place to stay? Or should we just go for the day??

I had a share house on FI for a few summers...we were in Ocean Bay Park. There's a lot more places to go out in Ocean Beach, I'd recommend that community. YOu can walk between the two, they're close.
As for staying over....there is the Fire Island Hotel in Ocean Bay Park but it's kind of gross. There are a few places in Ocean Beach. Definitely check out FireIsland.com. I would also check online to see if there are any houses that do weekend rentals. Then you'd have a whole place to yourself.
