Has anyone ever gone to Fire Island for a bachelorette party?? Im torn between Fire Island and Ocean City...if I do Fire Island more can go if I do Ocean City I have never been there and keep being told I will love it.

Only problem with fire island is last ferry is 1am, unless you decide to stay overnight....You will find more overnight options in Ocean City than you will in Fire island though and probably more cost effective too.

Theres only a handful of motels on fire island and they are pretty pricey...unless you guys can all go in on a house but those are in the thousands for a weekend rate. As fun as Fire Island is i say you should go for ocean city

Fire Island is what I was planning on doing for my bachelorette party ... My cousin owns a bar in Cherry Grove, so I figured it would be cost effective. I think they have a water taxi that you can book after 1am - don't quote me though.

I've been to 2 bachelorette parties on FI and it's flipping amazing.
We rented a house each time and if you get enough people it's really not that bad. You don' go out to eat to save costs so you bring all the food for the week and cook dinners and BBQ. Maybe go out for a nice lunch after the beach 1 day.
If you plan it right, when renting a house, it's not crazy expensive.
THe hotels can get pricey so I would start looking into dates now b/c everything books up pretty quick too.
I also think b/c of the cost for the ferry and parking, just going for the night and not staying isn't 100% worth it for a bachelorette but thats just my opinion.

We are going to FI for mine. I'm so flipping excited. We rented a house...9 girls came out to about 110 each. Really good price and we are sooo close to town.
Hotels are too much money. I highly suggest looking into a house for the weekend....and SOON!

THIS! I've gone the last 2 summers and found really great houses on craigslist.
I'm going for mine =) I LOVE Fire Island!!

Rent a house for the weekend in FI.. it'll be a blast... ocean city MD is awesome but pretty far away.. I would do FI so more people can come
