Has anyone been there for the weekend or for a b-party?? is it fun, etc???
one of my bm's asked me if i would want to go there for my b-party weekend....
(i know that there are no cars on the island)
any advice would be great!!!

It's very fun. Just be careful of which part you go to. One isn't really for bachelorette's...more bachelor's ONLY. Ahem.

You can go to Ocean Beach and Ocean Bay Park. There are not many bars and places to eat. It is fun, I have been there a few times. Flynns is cool but I can't remember which side it is on. Have fun!

I think it could be fun. Be careful, I've heard that it was been getting crazy with all the young people who rent,,,even girls getting raped walking home at night

we are going there for mine too, july 26th. i don't know what is going on with the planning. i just know we are going! i can't wait. i guess we are staying overnight at some hotel (?) and then hitting the beach the next day. can't wait..........

Ocean Beach is robably your best bet, but you can always take a water taxi to the other beaches also.

Yes, I'm having my BP there on July 19th, there will be 17 of us, I'm so excited! We are staying at the Fire Island Hotel and going out in Ocean Beach/Bay Park! I can't wait!

Flynn's is in Ocean Bay Park (and I think is the only bar in OBPark). The rest of the bars (and probably the hotel) that you will want to go to are in Ocean Beach - I worked over there for years and my favorite was always Matthew's, kind of a laid back place with bands. There are lots of dance clubs that might be more your thing for a Bparty, but the palce is small enough that you can walk from bar to bar - just don't take our drink with you, it is a hefty fine!
