Firehouse, VFW question for those living on South Shore of Nassau

Hello ladies, I wanted to see if any of you knew of any VFW's firehouses etc on the South Shore of Nassau that were available to rent for a birthday party, also if you knew the price for these halls and if you can rent the hall without being a member that would be fantastic! The party would be for about 90 people. Thank you all so much, dh is going to be 30 is in 3 and a half months and I procrastined a wee bit on the party end

I have no idea what the price is, but both the Firehouse in Wantagh and the Elks Club in Lynbrook are beautiful.

I went to a Christening party at one and a HS grad party at the other. Both were very nice.

I don't know the price, but we have family members in the Bellemore fire dept (the one south of Merrick Rd-I think it might be Bellemore harbor) and often have family parties there. The upstairs room is really nice.

I live in Oceanside. There is a VFW in oceanside, a new American Legion that is available to rent, the Knights of Columbus has 2 smaller rooms that would be good for a birthday party as well

In most firehouses you have to be a member or an immediate family member of a member to use the room for a party...

There's a nice Firehouse in Long Beach too .... not sure about renting w/o being a member though.

There is a Masonic Temple in Baldwin and one in Rockville Centre on Lincoln Avenue. I believe the rental for the one in Baldwin is $600. There is an American Legion in Rockville Centre on Maple Avenue and one in Baldwin on Grand Avenue south of Merrick Road. The Knights of Columbus in Oceanside has a small room downstairs but I believe it holds 75 comfortably, for 90 you may have to use the large room upstairs. I've heard of a few in Lynbrook but I do not know where.

That definitely wasn't the case with my cousin who had her son's christening there. They had no ties to the FD. They have a party room upstairs that had recently been completely renovated.

ETA - this was the firehouse in Wantagh or Bellmore -- I think Wantagh -- on Sunrise Hwy.

The Elks club in Lynbrook has a great room like someone said above, also Tally-Ho fire department on Horton Ave in Lynbrook also has a nice room, not sure if you have to know someone but can't hurt to check it out! I've been to a bunch of parties there and they were great. Its also right next to a park if you are having kids!
