FSIL, Fred, was born in July, and LOVES FIREWORKS!!!!!!!!!! I understand they're illegal in Long Island/ NY? As a Mom, and FMIL, I'd like to surprise/ make wishes come true, for my 'kids', if possible. While surprising Fred at the reception with fireworks, is probably an impossibility, oh, how I wish I could pull it off!!! Do you think Oprah could help?? And if she wanted to, would NY cooperate?? Just dreaming, Mary MOB

Re: Fireworks on Long Island
Fireworks are illegal to buy and sell on LI, but they are not illegal to set off within certain rules. My friend did them at her wedding a few years ago.
If this is something you are really considering call the RH -- they might be able to recommend someone. If not call the town and see what they allow and don't allow. Since CLM is on the water you may be able to pull it off.

I actually think as long as the person has a permit they can use fireworks. I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure!

Re: Fireworks on Long Island
There is one other company that is allowed to legally do a fireworks display on LI. The name of the company is Zenith and they are based in Deer Park. Not sure if they do weddings, but it's worth a shot. They would probably be cheaper than Grucci.

You could use grucci, but they cost upwards of $1000 per minute. They have prices on their website.

Re: Fireworks on Long Island
there are a FEW exceptions but this all depends ALOT on where the RH is located, you need the space for it, if its in a commercial area then its likely it wont happen...ALSO just so you know its about $10,000-12,000 for less than 10 mins
