first attempt at prototype make my own centerpiece

This is a first try, the flowers are just what I had around the house. I am a Nov 30th bride, and think deep red and ivory flowers are what I want. No idea what kind. Any suggestions,

is this too cheesy?

I like it, it is different with the candle sticking up. Those colors you mentioned would be beautiful in November.

I really love the colors. I like the idea of the candle being in the air but I think you need the bottom vase to be alittle bigger (wider) or the candle top to be a little lower. It might be the picture but I don't know how stable it looks. If you get a bigger bottom vase and then make the flowers come up alittle higher (and not so perfectly round) so that they are alittle closer to the candle i think it would look awesome! i also think i would also prefer a white candle versus a colored one but again, it's really hard to tell from the picture. It might also look nice to stick some twiggy like pieces coming out to give it a little more dimension. Good luck!

Re: first attempt at prototype make my own centerpiece

thanks so much for the input, I was just using what I had here in the house. The short vase, the candle color the flowers........

I think I might be able to make something work out of it.

I don't know maybe it's not worth the trouble, but it could cost 1.99 for vase at michaels (the one I used was only .77. The plastic thing holding the candle I can get 24 for $12 (i think). The flowers could be real or silk, and my sister does party lite candles (like tuperware parties but candles). so I am guessing I can get a deal. Any way its fun to play
