First dance- cut it short or invite guests up to dance??

Hi all! So my fiance and I are getting married in 10 days-- so soon! We are having a very small destination wedding-- 25 guests. We think the first dance is somewhat awkward because everyone just stares at us for 3-4 min. We thought about cutting our song down. I also like the idea of inviting guests up 2 min into the song--- but is this a good idea given the small size of our wedding? Need advice! Thanks

I just got married a week and a half ago, and my husband and I were in a similar situation as you are. We are both awkward and felt weird having people stare at us for 4 minutes. We thought it would be boring. We told that to the DJ and they advised against us cutting it short. He invited the guests up after about 2:40 into the song. And it was perfect! We didn’t feel awkward and everyone was happy to join us more than halfway into the song. It goes by a lot quicker than it seems. I hope this helps!
