So my FH doesnt like any of the songs I've suggested for our first dance. I think if it were up to him we would be dancing to Metallica or something equally inappropriate.
Anyway- I need help in finding some off beat love songs appropriate for a first dance that would fit our personalities.
I love 'Maybe I'm Amazed' by Wings, but FH doesn't think he can slow dance to that.
I'm thinking classic rock or alternative.
Any suggestions?

i do not know that song but u can dance to anything and u have plenty of time to practice and it does not have to be that much of a slow song.. it can be a little faster.. u'll find something u both like in time, good luck

I am using a string enable company that plays off beat Metalica, etc stuff on violins, cellos, harps etc.
I'm more the offbeat music loving type,and I was thinking of doing something like having the viloins play for first dance.

virtually all the rock and metal bands of the 80s and early 90s had at least 1 romantic ballad...maybe you can have your FH research those
also, check out Bon Jovi's 'Thank You for Loving Me'...it's not too too slow, and has a nice rock sound to it
