First Dance Issues......

So we picked After All by Cher and Peter Cetera way back. The words really rang true to how our relationship was and is. Picking the song was the easiest thing.........until..........

FI and I were driving to PA a few weekends ago and I had my iPod on in the car and Rascall Flatts 'Bless the Broken Road' came on. After the song was over, FI played it again (something he NEVER does.....it's this pet peeve he has of repeating songs). After it was over for the 2nd time, he looks at me and says, 'Do you like that song?' I say 'yeah'. Then he says, 'Do you want to change our wedding song to that?'
So now we're stuck. Gut reaction was to stick with After All, but we both REALLY like Bless the Broken Road.

Now what? Even the 'easy' stuff is hard!!!!

We have a similar dilemma....

'Our' song is Faithfully by Journey... it was the first song we ever danced to, back in 2000! We always imagined using that as our wedding song... but the lyrics aren't exactly appropriate (except for the chorus).

We both feel in love with a Michael Buble song, called 'You and I' .... so, I think we might end up using that as our wedding song, even though its not 'our' song right now... it will be

Bless the broken Road is our song Val!! WE LOVE IT!!!!!!!! It's beautiful and so true for us!!!

Who said and I repeat who said you have to have ONLY ONE song

You can have your DJ play one and then mix in the other.....

Or have it played as a second song during the night!!!

FH and I cannot decide on a song as well. 'OUR'Song is From this Moment on by Shania twain but...we are kinda tired of it. We want something different and we cannot pick!!! Hopefully we decide within 257 days !

The only thing that we didn't like about it was that it mentions other people and past relationships. We want something to only focus on us. So, we are not doing it.

I was kinda iffy about that whole mentioning past relationships as well, but then we agreed that, in our case at least, that past events did bring us together.

I know we have 348 days to decide, but it was nice, for a little while, actually having something be an easy decsion!

'After ALL', my fh hubby and I were just talking about that. We planned to use it, then his sister and bil used it.

Now we have nooooo song lol!
