FH and I had our first of 3 dance lessons tonight (yes we waited until the last possible minute) - a ballroom dance school opened up literally around the corner from our apt. She taught us 3 sequences and he did pretty well (better than I thought he would). Our next lesson is Wednesday and she wants me to bring my day of shoes and the slip from my dress so I can get used to dancing with all that material - how ridiculous is that going to look!!!

Sounds like so much fun! Fh actually wanted to take lessons but we could never find the time. Have fun at the next one!

it really is a good idea for the 2 of u to practice dancing with the slip esp if you have a big dress

the dress actually isn't that big and i'm still debating whether i'm going to wear the slip at all... but the shoes are key - even practicing in my house with the shoes is different - especially the part where he dips me. not good for the knees

I don't even know the name of the dance studio but it's in Bensonhurst Brooklyn on 18th Ave & 70th Street. Upstairs from a DELICIOUS pastry shop!

I think that is right near my brother's girlfriends house. We are out east so not going to work for us but glad you are having fun doing it!
